Coolpad Dazen1 Review: Ruined by Bad Cameras

The Coolpad Dazen 1 is spearheading the company's efforts in India. Now priced at just Rs. 5999, its a good buy for anyone looking for a budget Android smartphone. It packs 4G LTE support, a HD display, good performance and good battery-life. Where the Dazen 1 lacks is its camera. If you want a phone with even a decent camera, the Dazen 1 is not for you. It struggles in even good lighting, with images turning out blurry. The display too has its issues, the back-light is uneven and there is a bit of light-bleed. But this is a budget device, so you should expect some compromises especially when you are getting 2 gigs of RAM onboard, 8 GB internal storage with app & app-data both movable. Although the competition is quite tough here with the Redmi 2 excelling in both the camera and performance department, while the Lenovo A6000 Plus offers better cameras and display as well. If Coolpad can fix the camera issues with the Dazen 1, it would be a great contender to dethrone the Redmi 2. We have our detailed review of the Coolpad Dazen 1 above, you can see the review scores with pros/cons below.
