XOLO Q1010i Gaming Review
The Q1010i from XOLO comes with an upgraded camera which now uses a Sony Exmor R sensor and 8 GB of internal storage. Apart from that the internals remain the same as the Q1010 with 1 GB RAM, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with a promise of Android 4.4 KitKat update. Still we needed to see if its gaming credentials had suffered in the transition. To find that out here's the gaming review of the XOLO Q1010i.
Gaming Review
We played several games on the Q1010i including Asphalt 8 in high settings, Modern Combat 4, NOVA 3, FIFA 14, Real Racing 3, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Dead Trigger 2, Frontline Commando: D-day, Subway Surfers and several others. At no time was there any issue with framerate, lag or heating. The phone performed brilliantly even though we pushed it with high-settings across the board.
The display too has excellent viewing angles and touch response, making gameplay even better. Its sharp as well adding that something extra to the already brilliant graphics of games.
Conclusion
We already know the XOLO Q1010i has a great camera, but its gaming credentials still remain brilliant. There are no issues with high-end HD games and the audio through the speakerphone is loud making game play a bit more immersive. Although depending on how you hold the phone, you might find your hand slipping over the speakerphone grill, muffling sound. But that's just be trying to find something to fault with on a perfect phone in this segment.
