Xiaomi to enter 10 new markets, including India
Xiaomi is gearing up to enter the burgeoning smartphone market of India alongwith 9 other countries but still shy of the US. CEO Lei Jun announced the expansion efforts of the company in a press conference in Beijing.

Xiaomi will begin sales in developing markets like India, Brazil, Russia, and Mexico alongwith Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Turkey. Xiaomi has set a goal to increase its sales five-fold to 100 million handsets by 2015. The Chinese manufacturer has received considerable success at its home, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore by selling handsets online, but these are new waters where price is a major consideration before buying any phone.
