Xiaomi Mi Band 1s goes official with heart-rate sensor
There have been rumors floating around about the next-gen Xiaomi Mi Band 1S, and today it has finally gone official. The Xiaomi Mi Band is an activity tracker which comes with a pedometer and sleep monitor, it was launched earlier this year in India. The Mi Band 1S keeps the same design adding a heart-rate sensor, which would help you track workouts more effectively.
As I said earlier the design remains the same with three LED lights at the top which give you notifications based on the goals you have set or about the battery-level, it is still IP67 rated for dust and water resistance. The new heart-rate sensor has been added to the bottom of the device, which will come in contact with your skin for measurement.
The new Mi Band 1s is slightly thicker than its predecessor and weighs a bit more, but its negligible. Now coming to battery-life, you have a 45 mAh battery here which is again slated to last 30 days on a single charge, which we are inclined to believe as it was the same case with the original Mi Band.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 1S will go on sale in China starting November 11th priced at CNY 99 or about Rs. 1,030. The original Mi Band was available for Rs. 999 in India before being replaced by the white LED variant priced at Rs. 799. At present there is no word on when Xiaomi plans to bring the new Mi Band 1S to India, but we'll keep a lookout for you. Stay tuned!
