Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro launched with OLED display
Xiaomi has launched an upgraded variant of their Mi Air Purifier 2 in China. The Mi Air Purifier Pro now has an OLED display making it easier to track air quality without looking at your phone. The OLED display also shows the current ambient temperature as well as relative humidity.
Addition of the display was the result of user feedback where the company learned that customers wanted a more standalone device so that they didn't have to always look at their phone to see how was the air quality in their homes or offices. The display also features an auto-brightness sensor which changes the brightness based on ambient light in the room. It has a multi-color ring around it which gives you glanceable information on air quality by changing colors from green to red.
There are some performance improvements in store as well, the Mi Air Purifier Pro now has a clean air delivery rate of 500 cubic meters per hour and can cover an area of 60 square meters (Mi Air Purifier 2: 406 cubic meters, 48 square meters.)
The new Mi Air Purifier Pro connects still connects with the Mi Home app for a more detailed analysis. It will be going on sale in China starting November 11 priced at 1499 Yuan (Rs. 14800 or $221.)
