Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro launched Globally with 6.83-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8400-Ultra/Dimensity 9400+ SoC, IP68 ratings
Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphones in the 15T series, the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro at an event in Berlin. Serving as the successors to last year’s 14T series, the new models feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3200 nits.
The displays boast ultra-slim 1.5mm bezels on all four sides, 27% thinner than the previous generation, thanks to LIPO technology. They also support full-brightness DC dimming, advanced eye care modes, 3840Hz PWM dimming, along with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, powered by built-in dual speakers.
Design -
The Xiaomi 15T series features a unified glass fiber back and battery cover, resulting in a seamless exterior. The flat frame with slightly rounded edges provides both a modern look and a comfortable grip. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which Xiaomi claims offers twice the scratch resistance compared to its predecessor. The glass fiber back further enhances durability while maintaining a stylish finish.
Both models are IP68-certified, capable of withstanding up to 3 meters of freshwater immersion. The 15T Pro additionally features a 6M13 high-strength aluminum alloy frame, improving drop protection and overall structural strength.
Cameras -
The Xiaomi 15T series is equipped with a triple-camera system with Leica VARIO-SUMMILUX lenses, comprising:
- 50MP wide-angle camera (Light Fusion 800/900)
- 50MP telephoto lens with 2x 46mm portrait and 5x 115mm focal lengths
- 12MP ultra-wide camera
Powered by Xiaomi AISP 2.0, the system introduces PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0 for enhanced depth, tonal accuracy, and lifelike colors with minimal post-editing. Users also get access to iconic Leica focal lengths—28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and, exclusive to the 15T Pro, 135mm for close-ups.
Both phones support 4K 30fps HDR10+ video recording across all focal lengths. The 15T Pro goes further with 4K 120fps recording on the main camera and 4K 60fps 10-bit Log recording with LUT support for professional post-production.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, while the Xiaomi 15T has MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. To manage heat, both devices incorporate the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop System, which separates vapor and liquid through a specially designed 3D bulge over the CPU. This setup channels heat away from critical components like the SoC and disperses it evenly across the phone’s surface for improved thermal efficiency.
Xiaomi Astral Communication -
The series debuts Xiaomi Astral Communication, a suite of advanced connectivity technologies. For the first time, it introduces Xiaomi Offline Communication, enabling direct voice calls between 15T devices without cellular or Wi-Fi. The feature works over distances of up to 1.9km on the 15T Pro and 1.3km on the 15T.
Astral Communication also integrates the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner, which intelligently combines GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular signals. Alongside it, the Super Antenna Array enhances overall cellular performance, while AI Smart Antenna Switching ensures optimal signal strength at all times.
Battery and Charging -
- Xiaomi 15T Pro: Equipped with a 5500mAh battery, it supports 90W HyperCharge, delivering a full charge in just 36 minutes. It also features 50W wireless charging, reaching 100% in about 56 minutes.
- Xiaomi 15T: Comes with 67W fast charging, capable of a full charge in 50 minutes.
According to Xiaomi, both models are designed for long-term endurance, retaining up to 80% battery capacity after 1600 charge cycles.
