Xiaomi 15 Ultra launched with 6.73-inch 2K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Leica quad-cameras
Xiaomi has officially launched its latest premium smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra at an event in China, staying true to its promise. The device boasts a 6.73-inch 2K TCL C9 OLED LTPO display with a peak brightness of 3200 nits, a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also features 1920Hz PWM dimming for enhanced eye comfort.
It runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and incorporates a dual-channel wing-shaped cold pump cooling system with a vapor-liquid separation design for efficient heat dissipation.
One of the standout features of the device is Xiaomi Star Communication, enabling two-way calls over a 7km range without requiring a network. Additionally, the entire series supports Tiantong satellite communication, making it the first smartphone to offer direct mobile-to-satellite data transfer. A dual-satellite variant is also available with optional China Mobile Beidou satellite communication.
The camera setup is equally impressive, featuring a 50MP Leica primary sensor with a next-generation 1-inch ultra-large sensor, 14EV native dynamic range, and OIS. It is accompanied by a 50MP 115° Leica Ultra Wide-Angle camera (JN5 sensor) with 5cm super macro capability, a 50MP Leica Telephoto camera (IMX858 sensor) with 3X floating telephoto and telephoto macro, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera (HP9 sensor, 1/1.4-inch) with 4.3x optical zoom.
For videography, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the first Android phone to feature ACES LOG movie-grade video, movie camera-level colour accuracy, the UIS self-developed anti-shake system, horizon-level correction, and 8K video recording. Xiaomi highlights its Leica ultra-pure optical system, incorporating advanced materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
The phone sports a unibody metal frame with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 for durability. It houses a 6000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Xiaomi is also introducing a professional imaging kit accessory, available in a new Gilded Gray color. This accessory includes a replaceable shutter button, a detachable metal finger grip, and a built-in 2000mAh battery, extending the total battery capacity to 8000mAh. The kit is IP54-rated for splash resistance.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes in classic black and silver, pine and cypress green, white, and black colours. is now available for pre-order and will officially go on sale in China starting March 3rd. Its global launch is scheduled for March 2nd, alongside the Xiaomi 15, with the India launch also set to take place in March.
