Xiaomi 14 will feature 6.36-inch 1.5K 1-120Hz LTPO C8 AMOLED display, 50MP 1/1.31-inch sensor, Leica Summilux lens
Update - Xiaomi has officially announced that the Xiaomi 14 will include a 6.36" 1.5K ultra-narrow flat AMOLED screen, with 460 PPI, Huaxing C8 substrate, 1-120Hz LTPO, full DC dimming, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has revealed visuals of the Rock Blue shade that resembles a "Drizzle Blue Stone," offering a sleek texture, though it appears more green in color.
The device will also be available in Snow Mountain Pink, which utilizes advanced nano leather material, providing a soft and smooth touch. Additionally, there will be a black variant featuring a velvety frosted glass back. The company has already shared an image of the phone in white.
Earlier - Xiaomi has released official images of the Xiaomi 14 smartphone before its launch, confirming that the device will feature a 6.36-inch screen with remarkably thin bezels. Xiaomi Mi 14 Pro has a similar rear design as the Xiaomi Mi 14, but it is larger. According to CEO Lei Jun, the company's engineering team has ingeniously concealed the infrared within the camera area on the rear. Furthermore, they have implemented a micro-slit hidden design for the speaker opening and discreetly placed the top microphone in the earpiece region.
The product manager for Xiaomi's mobile phones stated that the Xiaomi 14 has achieved an impressively slim four-width design, with three sides measuring 1.61mm and a chin featuring 1.71mm bezels. These measurements render it even slimmer than the iPhone 15 Pro. Notably, the Xiaomi 13 also boasted the same ultra-narrow 1.61mm bezels and a 6.36-inch screen, indicating that the display might remain unchanged.
The Xiaomi 14 will feature a 50MP 1/1.31″ 1.2μm sizable sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, paired with a Leica Summilux lens. The camera touts an exceptional ultra-high dynamic range of 13.5EV, delivering more lifelike colors, as well as enhanced light and shadow details. The company claims it consumes 42% less power while maintaining the same size.
In addition, it comes equipped with a 75mm telephoto lens designed for 3.2x portrait shots spanning from 10cm to infinity, allowing for both close-up shots and distant portraits. By contrast, the Xiaomi 13 was equipped with a 50MP 1/ 1.49″ Sony IMX800 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The company has also shared some sample photos captured using both the main and telephoto cameras.
Earlier speculations hinted at the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 16GB of RAM, and Android 14 for both phones. Additionally, these models will be the first to operate on Xiaomi's proprietary HyperOS.
