Xiaomi 13 Ultra with Leica optics launches soon this April; Expected 6.7-inch AMOLED QHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC
Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone with Leica Optics the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in China this April. The company also said that the phone will be launched globally in the coming months. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will use the next-generation Leica Summicron lens for mobile imaging, after the Xiaomi 12S series and the recent Xiaomi 13 Pro with Leica optics.
Leica said that for the first time, different smartphone lenses from wide-angle to telephoto have achieved consistently excellent optical capabilities.
Based on earlier rumors, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature a 6.7-inch Samsung LTPO E6 AMOLED QHD+ 120Hz display with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, and based on Android 13.
The phone will feature a quad rear camera setup where a 50MP primary camera with a 1″ Sony IMX989 sensor along with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two 50MP telephoto lenses, and a 32MP front-facing punch-hole camera.
Last month, A rendered image of the phone surfaced online revealing a large camera bump that bulges out across the top part of the back, and the flash has been moved to the top left, but this might not be the final shape since the design might change, and it should retain IP68 ratings.
The phone is expected to be powered by a 4900mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging as well as 10W reverse wireless charging. We should know more detail and the exact launch date of the phone in the coming day.
