Vivo and ZEISS announce global strategic long-term partnership, Vivo X60 series launching on December 29th
Last week, Vivo has finally confirmed the launch of its latest flagship 5G smartphones Vivo X60 Series in China on December 29th. This will the first smartphone powered by Samsung's latest Exynos 1080 Chipset. Now, Vivo and ZEISS officially announced a strategic long-term partnership aimed at jointly promoting and developing innovations in the field of mobile imaging technology.
Vivo and ZEISS have also unveiled plans to create a Vivo ZEISS Imaging Lab that will support the research and development of mobile imaging technologies for Vivo's premium smartphones. In this joint R&D facility, the companies will launch the “Vivo ZEISS Master Photography” campaign to engage users who purchase a Vivo smartphone and also create a photographic ecosystem.
The Vivo X60 series camera lenses are jointly developed by Vivo and Zeiss. It will use the world's first ZEISS Vario-Tessar 1.48-3.4/16-125 ASPH lens. According to the rumors, the Vivo X60 will have a 48MP primary camera with a Zeiss lens at f/1.6 aperture along with a 13MP ultrawide snapper and 13MP portrait shooter. While the Vivo X60 Pro has additional an 8 MP periscope camera with 5x optical and up to 60x digital zoom, but it gets an f/1.48 aperture for the 48 MP primary camera. Both models will feature video's second-generation micro-gimbal stabilization and Zeiss branding.
