Vivo X80 Pro and vivo X80 to be launched on May 18 in India with 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen1/Dimensity 9000 SOC
Vivo India has confirmed the launch date for its latest flagship smartphone the Vivo X80 series in India on May 18th by the posted a warm-up page on its official website after it was launched last month in China. The phones will be seen in the Global launch on May 8.
Recall specs, These have a 6.78-inch curved E5 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, but X80 has an FHD+ panel, and the X80 Pro has a Quad HD+ panel with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The Vivo X80 runs on the latest Dimensity 9000 processor with 4285mm² VC cooling, and 41266mm² large cooling area, while the Vivo X80 Pro comes in both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 processor with 2961mm² VC cooling and 46089mm² cooling area.
The Vivo X80 has a triple rear camera setup where a 50MP primary camera with the first Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor along with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle and a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait camera. The Vivo X80 Pro has a quad rear camera setup where a 50MP primary camera with the first Samsung GNV sensor along with a 48MP ultra-wide-angle, a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait, and an 8MP 5X periscope telephoto camera. All these have T* coating with ZEISS optics, and glass lenses to reduce dispersion, and also feature new Zeiss Cinematic film blur.
The Vivo V1+ custom chip provides better low-light shooting in an environment with a brightness lower than 1Lux. There is also XDR Photo high dynamic range. These have AG glass and leatherback models with IP68 ratings for X80 Pro. The phones are powered by 4,500mAh and 4,700mAh batteries that support 80W wired fast charging, but X80 Pro also supports 50W wireless charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging.
