Vivo X Fold5 Specs Surfaced Online Revealing 8.03-inch foldable 2K+ 120Hz AMOLED display, 6000mAh battery and more
Vivo is preparing to launch its upcoming foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold5, Details have emerged. While Vivo previously launched the X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro in China—with only the Pro model making it to global markets, including India—there reportedly won’t be a Pro variant this year, according to tipster Yogesh Brar.
Display & Processor -
The X Fold5 is expected to feature the same 8.03-inch 2K+ 120Hz foldable AMOLED display and a 6.53-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED outer screen, both carried over from the X Fold3 Pro. It is also said to retain the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Battery -
The device may come with a slightly larger 6000mAh battery, making it one of the biggest in a foldable smartphone. It’s expected to support 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. Previous leaks had suggested a 6365mAh battery.
Camera -
Camera upgrades include a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 3x periscope telephoto camera, replacing the 64MP telephoto sensor in the previous model. The foldable will likely retain dual 32MP front cameras on both the inner and outer displays.
Design -
The X Fold5 will reportedly be significantly slimmer, measuring 4.3mm when unfolded and 9.33mm when folded, compared to the X Fold3 Pro’s 5.2mm and 11.2mm, respectively.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the fiberglass variant will weigh under 219g, lighter than the X Fold3 Pro (236g) and on par with the standard X Fold3 (219g).
Vivo is expected to replace its in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor with a side-mounted scanner. The device could maintain the IPX8 water resistance rating, the 3-stage Alert Slider, and is likely to be offered in a single 16GB + 512GB configuration.
Launch Timeline -
Per Digital Chat Station, the vivo X Fold5 is expected to debut in China in Q3 2025, likely before September. This would mark a roughly 1.5-year gap since the last model’s release.
