Vivo V50 to be launched in India Soon with First 3D-Star Technology, Quad-curved display, 6000mAh battery
Vivo has officially started teasing the V50 smartphone in its V series for the Indian market, unveiling key design elements. The teaser image showcases two colour options, dual rear cameras, ZEISS optics, and the Aura Light feature.
India’s First 3D-Star Technology -
The Starry Night variant of the V50 will debut India’s first 3D-Star Technology, transforming the phone’s back panel into a dynamic, interactive surface. Under direct sunlight or focused indoor lighting, the panel shimmers like a starry night sky.
According to Vivo, the effect is dynamic—holographic dots elongate into meteor-like streaks under elongated light sources, while circular lights create a soft, glowing effect, inspired by the vast cosmos. Another variant, Rose Red, embodies luxury and celebration, reflecting the depth and vibrance of timeless cultural traditions, the company added.
India’s Slimmest Smartphone with a 6000mAh Battery -
vivo claims the V50 will be India’s slimmest smartphone in the 6000mAh battery category. The Titanium Gray variant is just 7.39mm thick, Rose Red measures 7.57mm, and Starry Night Blue comes in at 7.67mm.
Quad-Curved Display for an Immersive Experience -
The V50 will be the first in the V series to feature a quad-curved display, ensuring an edge-to-edge screen with ultra-minimal bezels for an immersive viewing experience.
Expected Specifications -
Vivo’s teaser hints at new ZEISS Portrait styles, stating, “Vivo V50 is coming soon to make weddings, pro.” Based on previous leaks, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and feature a 50MP + 50MP dual rear camera setup, along with a 50MP front camera.
Launch Date & Availability -
The vivo V50 is expected to launch in India on February 18 and will be available via the Vivo India online store, Flipkart, and offline retailers.
