Now you can take photos with the fingerprint sensor on Redmi Note 3
Xiaomi has started rolling out a new OTA update for the Redmi Note 3 in India which enables taking photos with the rear and front cameras using the fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi had announced the feature at the launch of the Redmi Note 3 on March 3rd. So, after 2 months the feature is finally available to RN3 Snapdragon users in India.
The new OTA update for the Redmi Note 3 weighs in at 112MB with build number MIUI V7.2.5.0.LHOMIDA and its changelog suggests the following new features and bug fixes:
- Taking Photos using Fingerprint Sensor
- IR Stability
- Some issues with Incoming Calls Fixed
Xiaomi has been sending out updates to the Redmi Note 3 to fix issues and increase device performance as well as stability. The company today also announced its new giant 6.44-inch phablet the Mi Max which runs on Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8 with which we were hoping that Xiaomi would also announce plans for updating the Snapdragon variant of the Redmi Note 3 to Marshmallow. But at present there is no definite timeline as to when the MIUI 8 with Marshmallow update would arrive in India for the Redmi Note 3.
