The listing confirms that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite) chipset, with 12GB of RAM and Android 15. It achieved a single-core score of 2967 and a multi-core score of 9017. Rumours suggest the Xperia 1 VII will retain its 6.5-inch display and feature a 48MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 12MP periscope telephoto lens with a 70–200mm focal range, and a 12MP front-facing camera.

The Sony Xperia 1 VII is expected to launch on May 15, starting at USD 1,399 (approximately ₹1,18,380), with sales in Japan beginning the same day. A global release is reportedly planned for July 2025.
