Sony Xperia 1 III Surfaced Online with 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED 21:9 CinemaWide Display, Triple Rear Cameras, ZEISS Optics
Sony is working on another upcoming flagship 5G smartphone Xperia 1 III, now the renders of the phone have surfaced online by @OnLeaks, after the leaks of Sony Xperia 10 III and the upcoming Xperia Compact that surfaced recently. The renders reveal that the phone will feature a 6.5-inch 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR display, which is the same as the predecessor, but the bezels on the front have been reduced.
It also shows a metal frame with a glass back and the measurement is 161.6 x 67.3 x 8.4~9.6mm (including the camera bump). It reveals a triple rear camera setup with ZEISS optics with T* (T-Star) anti-reflective coating along with a 3D ToF sensor, which is similar to the predecessor, but the exact specifications of the cameras are not known yet. The last camera will use a periscope lens offering better optical zoom.
The phone will feature dual front-firing speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and has a camera shutter dedicated shortcut button which is already seen on the Xperia PRO that will be available earlier this week. It could be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 5nm 5G Mobile Platform.
The Sony Xperia 1 III is expected to be announced sometime in late February or early March and will be available from Spring 2021.
