In an official statement, Sony India announced:

The PS5 Pro will not be available in certain countries, including India, where the 6GHz wireless band required for IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) has not yet been approved.

While some smartphones with Wi-Fi 7 support have launched in India, they operate on Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6 networks until approval is granted for Wi-Fi 7. It’s unclear why Sony cannot implement a similar approach and activate Wi-Fi 7 once regulatory approval is obtained.

Sony has not confirmed if or when the PS5 Pro will be available in India, and the timeline for regulatory approval remains uncertain.
