Sony globally rolls out the My Xperia security service with remote wipe
Sony has begun rolling out their My Xperia remote security service globally, the free service allows Sony Xperia users to find their device, protect private information by either locking their device remotely or erasing all stored data. The main features of the My Xperia service include, overriding silent mode and waking up the display remotely, location of the phone on a map through myxperia.sonymobile.com, locking information on device with a message sent with contact details of current SIM inserted, setting a phone number where the person who found your phone can reach you and finally remote wipe using which you can delete all data on internal and external SD card.
Although the only caveat here is that it will be available on select 2012 and 2013 models, when the service is active globally. More details available at source link.
