Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023 will be held on 24th October Globally; Expected Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC
Qualcomm has officially announced its sixth annual Snapdragon Tech Summit date for this year on October 24th to 26th Globally. It is expected to introduce its latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip based on a 4nm process.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Specifications (Rumored) -
Based on earlier rumors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) SoC will get a new “1+5+2” architecture, compared to the “1+2+2+3” setup in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This is said to bring a more powerful performance core and higher frequency and use the TSMC N4P process. The chip will use 1 x Cortex-X4 prime core, 5 x A720 performance cores and 2 x A520 power efficiency cores, and Adreno 750 GPU.
According to leaker Ice Universe, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Adreno 750 GPU will have a significant performance improvement compared to the Adreno 740 and will feature a 10MB L3 cache, compared 8MB L3 cache in the predecessor.
According to Leaker Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 14 series will be the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC when it releases in November. In Addition, The vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, Redmi K70 series, OnePlus 12, Realme GT5, and more devices will use the chip in the coming months.
Dimensity 9300 before Snapdragon 8 Gen 3?
The leaker also said that the Dimensity 9300 is expected to be introduced before the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, so we can expect it at the end of September or early October, compared to November.
This is said to use 4 x Corex X4 + 4 x Cortex A720 cores and Immortalis-G720 GPU. This will also be based on TSMC N4P process tech. The vivo X100 series will be the first to use the chip.
