Samsung One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI early May Rollout on Galaxy S22, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4
Samsung is set to soon roll out its latest OneUI 6.1 software to flagship devices in both 2022 and 2021. As per a moderator's post on the Samsung Community website, an update is slated for May, bringing One UI 6.1 with advanced AI features to the Galaxy S22 series.
The Galaxy S22 lineup, along with the Z Fold4 and Flip4 foldable, as well as the Tab S8 tablets, will receive One UI 6.1 featuring AI capabilities akin to those found in the Galaxy S23 FE. However, the Galaxy S21 phones and 2021 foldables won't receive the full suite of AI features. Their One UI 6.1 update is also expected in May but will come with limited AI functionalities.
In early May, Samsung will release an update covering the Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, and Tab S8 lineup, providing features like Generative Edit, Live Translate, Summary, and Circle to Search, among others. Subsequently, in the same month, the update will extend to include the Galaxy S21 series, Z Flip3, and Z Fold3, albeit with fewer AI features, primarily Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite.
These updates are significant as they mark a substantial increase in Samsung's Galaxy AI user base, potentially reaching 200 million users after surpassing the 100 million milestone by the end of March.
