Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold launched Globally with 6.5-inch outer and 10-inch foldable 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, 200MP camera

Samsung has unveiled its first-ever trifold smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold in the Global Market after rumors. It features a multi-folding design that transforms from a regular phone into a 10-inch tablet-class device.
Display and Design Engineering -

The Galaxy Z TriFold incorporates two primary displays. On the outside, it features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and peak brightness of 2600 nits—similar to a standard flagship smartphone.
Unfolding the device reveals a 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display (2160 × 1584). Both panels support adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz.

Despite its intricate hinge system, Samsung has maintained a slim profile. The device measures 12.9 mm when folded and just 3.9 mm at its thinnest point when open (excluding the camera bump). It weighs 309 g—heavier than typical smartphones yet lighter than most 10-inch tablets.
Materials -
- Front: Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2
- Back: Ceramic-Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer
- Frame: Advanced Armor Aluminum with Titanium Hinge Housing
- Durability: IP48 rating (resistant to solids >1 mm; water-resistant up to 1.5 m in freshwater, but not dust-tight)
Camera system -

Samsung is positioning the Z TriFold as a photography-centric flagship, led by a 200 MP wide camera with OIS and an F1.7 aperture—bringing Ultra-grade imaging to a trifold form factor. It also includes a 12 MP ultra-wide lens and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital Space Zoom. For selfies, the device offers two 10 MP front cameras—one on the cover display and another on the main internal screen.
Performance and Battery -

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy (3 nm), paired with 16 GB of RAM and storage options of 512 GB or 1 TB. To support the large displays, Samsung incorporated a three-cell 5,600 mAh battery. Charging options include 45W wired charging (about 50% in 30 minutes) and 15W Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.
