Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 LTE get Android Marshmallow updates
Samsung is still continuing with its updates and the now we have the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE getting updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Both were launched in 2014 running Android KitKat.
The OTA update for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705) weighs is bringing with it the latest Marshmallow build, better control over app permissions, better battery-life with Doze mode which automatically controls app sleep cycles, redesigned app drawer alongwith the usual bug fixes and stability improvements. The update is being pushed in Germany as of this writing, but it would be coming to other regions soon as well.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE (SM-T805) is getting an 812MB update which also adds all the gooey goodness with the new app drawer, app permission in tow. You can wait for the OTA update to hit your Samsung devices or just head over to Settings -> About device and then tap on Download Updates manually to see if one is available.
