Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra isn't expected to launch until early 2026, but new details about its charging capabilities and processor have surfaced. According to reliable leaker @UniverseIce on X and Weibo, Samsung’s upcoming flagship may finally receive an upgrade in charging speed.

Samsung has been using 45W fast charging since the Galaxy Note10+ launched in 2019. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could break that tradition by introducing 60W fast charging support. Despite this improvement, the device is still expected to retain the 5,000mAh battery capacity that has been a standard since the Galaxy S20 Ultra debuted in 2020.

On the performance front, the S26 Ultra is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy, a customized variant with higher clock speeds compared to the standard version of the chip. While the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is set to debut in September and power multiple flagship phones, the Galaxy-exclusive version could reach up to 4.74GHz.

For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy used in the Galaxy S25 series offered peak clock speeds of 4.47GHz, versus 4.32GHz on the standard chip. The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to be built on TSMC’s N3P process, promising significant improvements in GPU performance.

In terms of design, the tipster also notes that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a thinner body under 8mm, a slightly larger display, and a modest increase in the phone’s length and width. Interestingly, it is also expected to be a few grams lighter than its predecessor.

More information about the Galaxy S26 series is expected to emerge in the coming months, ahead of the official launch.
