Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Could Launch with 60W Fast Wired Charging Support

Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone lineup has been featured in multiple recent leaks, with particular attention focused on the Ultra variant ahead of its expected launch next month. According to tipster Ice Universe, the next Ultra model is set to receive a notable charging upgrade. In a post on X, the tipster claimed that the device could support 60W wired fast charging, allowing it to reach up to 75% charge in roughly 30 minutes.

These charging figures are said to have been recorded under Samsung’s controlled laboratory conditions using certified accessories and default settings. Real-world results may differ depending on factors such as ambient temperature, battery condition, and usage patterns.

If the information proves accurate, this would mark an improvement over the current Ultra model, which supports 45W wired charging. In our tests of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the 45W fast charging takes about 1.5 hours to charge the battery fully. The upcoming Ultra is expected to feature a 5,200mAh battery, although some reports suggest Samsung may stick with a 5,000mAh capacity.

Samsung also introduced a new 60W charger last month, which is believed to be designed for its next-generation flagship devices. Additionally, unconfirmed reports hint at a wireless charging upgrade from 15W to 25W, along with support for magnetic cases. The 60W wired charging upgrade is rumored to be exclusive to the Ultra model, while the Galaxy S26 may continue to offer 25W charging, and the Galaxy S26+ could retain 45W support.

As with all early leaks, these details should be taken with caution until officially confirmed. Samsung is expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone series either later this month or in February 2026.
