Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 launched with Up to QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy
Samsung has launched its latest flagship smartphones in the S23 series the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra at its Galaxy Unpacked event in the Global Market including India, as they promised. The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, and up to 1750 nits brightness, the same as the predecessor.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus have 6.1 / 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O flat Displays with 48-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, the same as the predecessor, but both have up to 1750 nits brightness. These phones run on the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for Galaxy that is clocked up to 3.36GHz, which is significantly higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s clock speed of 3.2 GHz that is used in other smartphones.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra also has vapor chamber cooling which is now bigger. These phones also have an Armor Aluminum frame and are one of the first smartphones to feature the new Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back. The phones feature an in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and run Android 13 with OneUI 5.1.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a quad rear camera setup where a new 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, new adaptive pixel, super HDR, and pixel enhancer, along with the same 12-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens with a 120-degree field of view, 10-megapixel Telephoto lens for 3x zoom, a 10MP Periscope lens for 10x zoom and supports 100x digital zoom and a 3D ToF sensor.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus have a triple rear camera setup where a 50-megapixel Dual Pixel primary sensor with OIS along with a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 10-megapixel Telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. These also have a new 12-megapixel Dual Pixel front-facing camera with AI object-aware engine, and also support 8K 30 fps video shooting. The advanced VDIS technology minimizes vibrations, so you get smooth, sharp footage even when you’re on the move.
The S23 Ultra has Ultra-wideband capabilities (UWB) embedded and comes with IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance. It retains a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, 10W Qi wireless, and reverse wireless charging. The Galaxy S23 Ultra also comes with a built-in S Pen Stylus with Wacom tech.
The Galaxy S23 is powered by a 3900mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging and the Galaxy S23+ has a 4700mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Both phones feature 15W wireless and reverse wireless charging.
