Samsung Galaxy On8 launched in India with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 3GB RAM priced at Rs. 15900
Samsung has launched the new Galaxy On8 smartphone in India which comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display, 3GB RAM priced at Rs. 15900.
The Galaxy On8 runs on the company's own Exynos 7580 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz with 3GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. On the camera front you get a 13MP rear camera capable of recording 1080p videos and a 5MP front camera for selfies with front flash.
It is a dual-SIM 4G LTE capable smartphone with LTE network supported on both SIM cards and you have VoLTE available as well. You get a 3300 mAh battery powering the smartphone which should easily last a day on regular use given the AMOLED display. Then you also have doze mode with Android 6.0 Marshmallow which improves battery-life.
Samsung has gone with the brushed metal, diamond cut frame for the device similar to the Galaxy J5/J7 2016 series where the back of the phone is removable. The Galaxy On8 competes with Samsung's own Galaxy J5 Prime which was just launched last week.
