This is the 5th iteration of the Galaxy Note, the device that created the new category of Phablets. After all the design stumbles along the way, the Galaxy Note 5 re-defines the design aesthetic for the series similar to what the Galaxy S6 did for its line-up. The Galaxy Note5 (no space) shares its DNA with the Galaxy S6 and comes with a 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display with narrow bezels making the device better to hold.

Under the hood is the same Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset powering the Galaxy Note5 as the Galaxy S6 Edge+ with 4GB RAM and either 32/64 GB onboard storage which is again non-expandable running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with new leaner TouchWiz UI on top. The storage here is based on UFS 2.0 standard which is faster then the eMMC 5.0 used by other manufacturers, but this time around there's no 128GB option.

The Note5 comes with the customary S-Pen which has now been revamped and is clickable, well only to take it out. You can start taking notes with it as soon as you pull it out even if the display is off, and if is is on then Air Command starts automatically. You can include apps on the Air Command menu for multitasking.

Coming to the cameras, you have a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture lens with Optical Image Stabilization, real-time HDR with 4K recording and livestreaming to YouTube at 1080p. There's a 5MP front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture lens for better low-light selfies. Conectivity options include 4G LTE support, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2 LE with aptX, NFC alongwith wireless charging. There's a 3000 mAh battery to keep the Note 5 ticking, but just like its new brethren, its non-removable.

The Galaxy Note5 is going on pre-order today, available August 21st in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colors.
