Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launching in India on August 11
Update: Samsung has begun sending out invites for the August 11 launch event, where the company is expected to bring the Note 7 Dual-SIM variant to India. Pricing is expected to be around Rs. 60000 (about $850) for the 4GB/64GB storage variant running on the Exynos 8890 octa-core SoC. There are a lot of new features in the Note 7 which you can read about in our extended coverage.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 7 in India on August 11. The new Note 7 will go official today at simultaneous events across 3 continents.
We have seen several leaks of the next Note from Samsung, and there are very few details that need to be unearthed now. We already know about the Iris Scanner, hardware specs but it remains to be seen what Samsung has done with the software on the Galaxy Note 7. There has been talk of improved S-Pen support, which would be a welcome delight.

Just this morning packaging of the Galaxy Note 7 leaked online showing the key features of the device including IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. There's 4GB RAM onboard and 64GB expandable storage as well. It is expected to run on either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or Exynos 8890 octa-core processor. Samsung is also expected to launch a new GearVR which would sport a USB Type-C port compatible with the Note 7, but from what we have heard it would be backwards compatible with current-gen microUSB Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as well.
