Samsung has officially announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone Galaxy M series, the Galaxy M56 5G, scheduled for release in India on April 17th. This new model succeeded last year’s Galaxy M55. The Galaxy M56 5G will feature a sleek 7.2mm design, making it 30% slimmer than its predecessor, and will weigh just 180 grams. It boasts Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both the front and back.

In terms of cameras, the device will sport a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it will include a 12MP front camera, and both front and rear shooters will support 10-bit HDR video recording.

The phone is equipped with a Super AMOLED+ display, offering 36% thinner bezels and a 33% brighter panel compared to the M55. While Samsung hasn’t officially revealed the processor, a recent Geekbench listing for model number SM-M566B suggests it will be powered by the Exynos 1480 (S5E8845), slightly different from the Exynos 1580 used in the Galaxy A56 5G.

The listing also confirmed 8GB of RAM and Android 15 out of the box. The phone is expected to house a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The Galaxy M56 5G will be available on Amazon.in after its launch. Meanwhile, there are also reports suggesting the Galaxy F56 5G could be launched soon.
