Samsung Galaxy M55 Appeared on Geekbench Listing with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 8GB RAM, Android 14
Samsung is working on its upcoming M series smartphone the Samsung Galaxy M55, identified by the model number SM-M556B, which has emerged in a Geekbench 4 listing, revealing key specifications such as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 8GB of RAM and based on latest Android 14.
This revelation follows closely after the introduction of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the successor to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The new Gen 3 variant boasts a 15% enhancement in CPU performance and a remarkable 50% improvement in GPU performance.
Earlier this month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M54 (model SM-M446K) in South Korea under the name Jump 3, featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC. The Galaxy M54 had previously surfaced in July. The fate of the Galaxy M55's launch as Jump 4 in Korea next year remains uncertain, given that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is considered a step down compared to the Snapdragon 888.
Considering that the global version of the Galaxy M54 utilized the Exynos 1380 SoC, identical to the Galaxy A54, it is anticipated that the Galaxy M55 will incorporate the Exynos 1480 SoC. This assumption is based on the Exynos 1480's appearance in the benchmark listing of the Galaxy A55.
