Samsung Galaxy J7 pro and J7 Max launched in India with Samsung Pay, Android 7.0 Nougat starting at Rs. 17900
Samsung has just launched the Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max smartphones in India. The mid-range smartphones are part of the Galaxy J series of 2017 for India. The Galaxy J7 Pro is the same as the Galaxy J7 (2017) which was launched earlier with a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy J7 Max is a new phone which comes with a 5.7-inch full-HD display.
Internally there is no similarity between the two phones, but both do have Samsung Pay support, meaning you can use the phones to make transactions without requiring any physical credit/debit cards or even e-wallets.
Both phones also come with the same cameras, 13MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture lens for better low light imaging and a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies. The J7 Max also has the smart glow led notification light we saw earlier on the Galaxy J2 (2016). Both the J7 Pro and J7 Max support 4G VoLTE and come with dual-SIM slots and a separate microSD card slot. They run on Android 7.0 Nougat and have 2.5D curved glass protecting the front panel. There is a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button as well.
On the build front, you have unibody metal construction, however, the design of the J7 Pro is quite unique. The J7 Max retains the older design of previous-gen J7 Prime.
Another new addition here is Social Camera for instant sharing of photos to social apps which also lets you add filters and stickers before uploading the image. Just like any other J series smartphone in India, you also get Ultra Power Saving, Ultra Data Saving, S-bike mode as well as the new S Power planning modes on the phones as well.
