Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy Grand Max gets Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update in India
Samsung has started seeding Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Grand Max in India. According to report from various users, their Samsung Galaxy Grand Max SM-G7202 has started receiving an OTA update weighing in at 618.24 MB.
Samsung recently also updated the Galaxy E7 to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Its great to see that Samsung is not abandoning its mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy Grand Max was launched earlier this year running Android 4.4 KitKat exclusively on Snapdeal. It runs on the Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras.
With the new Lollipop update, the Grand Max gets new TouchWiz interface with a touch of material design, updated apps. Some users are reporting that the speaker volume has improved with the update and there are some camera issues that have cropped up which can be fixed by clearing app-data for camera app.
Since this is quite a huge update we would recommend downloading it over WiFi.
We will be keeping a lookout for the issues with the update, if any and the user experience after the new update. Stay tuned!
