Samsung Galaxy A82 5G / Galaxy A Quantum 2 Surfaced Online with FHD+ display, Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 6GB RAM, Android 11
Samsung is working on its upcoming mid-range smartphone the Galaxy A82 (SM-A826S), now the press image of the Galaxy Quantum 2 has surfaced in Google Play Console, which is the version of the Galaxy A82. It reveals that the phone will come with 6GB RAM, work on Android 11 and the display resolution is Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels), which could be an AMOLED screen. The Galaxy A80 comes with a rotating camera, but the A82 will look similar to the Galaxy A72.
The phone will be run on the Snapdragon 855+ processor, as per the listing. The Galaxy A Quantum was a version of Galaxy A71 5G that runs on the Exynos 980 processor. Its Looks like that the Samsung is going with an old processor where the X50 5G modem separately for this phone.
Earlier rumors said that the phone will have a 64MP primary rear camera with a Sony IMX686 sensor and support Bluetooth 5.0, as per the Bluetooth SIG listing. The Quantum version of the phone in Korea should come with QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator) chip for enhanced security.
We can expect the Galaxy A82 / Galaxy A Quantum 2 to be announced sometime in Q2 or Q3 2021. We should know more details and the exact launch date of the phone in the coming weeks.
