Samsung Galaxy A15 Expected to feature OLED Display with 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz screen

Last month, the Samsung Galaxy A15 made an appearance, showcasing a sleek design with a raised section on the right side housing the volume rockers and fingerprint scanner. A recent report from The Elec in Korea has disclosed that this model will be equipped with an OLED display, marking the first time an A1x series phone will sport this feature.

Just as a reminder, the Galaxy A24, which was launched earlier this year, switched from an LCD to an AMOLED screen. Similarly, the Galaxy A14 also featured an LCD screen. It appears that Samsung is extending this transition to its budget A-series models as well.

Originally planned as an LCD model, the Galaxy A24's design was altered to accommodate an OLED screen, primarily due to the cost-effectiveness of rigid OLED compared to the flexible OLED used in more expensive mid and high-end smartphones.

According to the render, the phone will boast an Infinity U notch display, a 3.5mm audio jack, and slimmer side bezels when compared to the Galaxy A14. The phone is rumored to incorporate a 6.4 or 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz screen, powered by either a Helio G99 or Exynos 1430 chip, depending on whether it's a 4G or 5G model, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Further details are expected to emerge in the following months, considering the Galaxy A15's anticipated release in early 2024.
