Xiaomi has officially launched its latest mid-range tablet, the Redmi Pad 2 in India, which is available in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + Cellular models, as previously announced. The tablet is both slim and lightweight, measuring 7.36mm thick and weighing 510g for the Wi-Fi model and 519g for the Cellular variant, making it highly portable.

Display and Build -

The Redmi Pad 2 features a large 11-inch 2.5K display (2560 x 1600 resolution) with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of brightness in outdoor mode. The screen is TÜV Rheinland certified for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian-friendly viewing, and includes features such as Reading Mode, Touch-on-Wet support, and Flicker-Free Dimming.

Performance -

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, paired with up to 8GB of RAM (plus an additional 8GB virtual RAM) and up to 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB. It houses a 9000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB Type-C.

Audio and Camera -

The Redmi Pad 2 comes with quad speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. For imaging, it offers an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for video calls and selfies.

Stylus and Connectivity -

The tablet supports the Redmi Smart Pen, offering 4096 pressure levels, ultra-low latency, 12-hour battery life, and a 10g activation force. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and for the Cellular model, dual 4G SIM support and GPS. It runs HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, and includes smart features such as:
