Xiaomi has shared the first official details of the upcoming REDMI Note 17 Pro ahead of its China launch on July 14. The company is highlighting the phone's improved durability, massive battery, premium display, and enhanced protection features, aiming to bring flagship-level hardware to the mid-range segment.

Design and New Color

The REDMI Note 17 Pro will be available in a new Sky Blue finish. Xiaomi says the design uses a soft blue gradient with a matte, mist-like texture inspired by early morning skies and clouds, giving the phone a clean and premium appearance.

Enhanced Durability and Water Resistance

Xiaomi is focusing heavily on durability with the Note 17 Pro by incorporating flagship-grade protection technologies.

• Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display for improved resistance against drops and scratches.
• Xiaomi claims the phone can survive drops of up to 3 meters onto marble surfaces.
• The device has received dual five-star drop-resistance certifications from SGS and CQC.
• It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
• The phone has also earned TÜV SÜD certification for surviving submersion in up to 2 meters of water for 72 hours.

Battery and Charging

The REDMI Note 17 Pro is equipped with a large battery and fast charging support designed for extended everyday use.

Five-Year Battery Support Program

During the initial sales period, Xiaomi will include an extended battery support plan for eligible buyers.

• Years 1–4: Customers will receive a free battery replacement if battery health drops below 80% of its original capacity.
• Year 5: If battery health falls below the same threshold, users will be eligible for a free upgrade to a higher-capacity battery.

Display

Xiaomi says the Note 17 Pro features the most advanced display ever used in the REDMI Note lineup.

• 1.5K flat OLED display built with flagship-grade luminescent materials.
• Up to 3,500 nits peak brightness in direct sunlight through the company's Super Sunlight Display technology.
• Supports Xiaomi's Green Mountain Eye Protection technology.
• Brightness can be reduced to as low as 1 nit to improve viewing comfort in dark environments and reduce eye strain.
