REDMI K90 Ultra launched with 6.83-inch 1.5K 165Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Active Cooling Fan, 8550mAh battery

Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the K90 series, the REDMI K90 Ultra in China, following its earlier announcement. The latest addition to the REDMI K-series focuses on premium design, powerful hardware, and gaming-oriented enhancements.

Design and Display -

The REDMI K90 Ultra comes in three color variants: Shadow Black, Space Silver, and Sky Blue. It features a CNC-machined aluminum alloy frame finished with an anodized coating, giving the device a refined and durable construction.

On the front, the smartphone sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat display based on an M10 substrate with rounded corners. The panel supports a 165Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness for enhanced visibility. The device is also built to withstand challenging environments, offering IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Performance and Cooling System -

Powering the REDMI K90 Ultra is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, paired with Xiaomi's D2 discrete graphics chip to boost graphics performance. The handset is equipped with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster multitasking and data access.

To maintain stable performance during intensive workloads, Xiaomi has integrated an active cooling solution featuring a built-in fan that operates at noise levels as low as 32dB. The cooling fan itself is designed with independent IPX8 and IPX9 water-resistance certifications.

Battery and Charging

The smartphone packs a large 8,550mAh single-cell Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery designed for extended usage.

• Direct power supply mode, which routes power directly from the motherboard during gaming sessions, reduces battery heat and improves sustained performance.

The REDMI K90 Ultra incorporates several premium hardware components, including:

• Bose-tuned 1115X symmetrical dual speakers for immersive audio.
• 0815 X-axis linear vibration motor for enhanced haptic feedback.
• 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for secure and responsive biometric authentication.
• Landscape network optimization is designed to maintain stable connectivity while gaming or using the device in landscape orientation.

Gaming Features -

Xiaomi has introduced a range of software and hardware optimizations aimed at mobile gamers, including dedicated game audio enhancements. The company has also collaborated with Tencent to fine-tune touch responsiveness for popular competitive titles.

For Honor of Kings, the REDMI K90 Ultra offers customized e-sports zone touch controls, optimizing touch sensitivity for movement controls, skill buttons, and the minimap.

For Peacekeeper Elite, Xiaomi has implemented tailored zone touch controls that improve responsiveness during gameplay, including movement, aiming, and elimination scenarios.
