Redmi K50 Gaming Edition launching on February 16 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, Gaming Triggers
Today, Redmi has finally confirmed the launch of its latest flagship 5G samrtphone the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition in China on February 16th. The official image shows a similar design as K40 Gaming Edition which was launched last year with magnetic gaming triggers, triple rear cameras with RGB lighting on the camera module. The images confined that the phone will be available in Blue with Black design, which was not in the predecessor.
The other image shows ‘Freezing’ and ‘Speedest’ text near the camera module where the company said that this phone will be the best gaming phone, creating higher performance with stronger heat dissipation. The company already confirmed that the Redmi K50 gaming Edition will be run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, dual VC cooling system, and CyberEngine ultra-wideband motor.
It will be powered by a 4700mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and will feature LPDDR5 RAM with UFS3.1 storage. It is expected that the phone will come with an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The latest teaser images show the phone will feature VC soaking, and graphite gels and the company has made five major material upgrades for the entire heat chain to improve heat dissipation efficiency throughout the entire process.
There is a Leaked image revealing the Mercedes-AMG Petronas edition for the Redmi K50 gaming edition with matching colors. It confined that the company has started a partnership with Mercedes-AMG, and might be launch more phones with them.
The company is also confirmed that will launch Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+ smartphones which runs on Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 8000, and Dimensity 9000 processor. There are no official details about the launch of these phones at this event.
