Redmi K40 series to be launched on February 25 with up to 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 SoC

    Today, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has confirmed the launch of its latest flagship 5G smartphones Redmi K40 series in China on February 25th after the poster teaser release. The Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing already confirmed that the pricing of the phone will start at 2,999 yuan (US$ 460 / Rs. 33,993 approx.) and this series will be a cost-effective phone with the latest flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, which should be Redmi K40 Pro.

    The company also confirmed an AMOLED display in the entire K40 series and will feature the most expensive flat display. According to the earlier rumors, it revealed a 120Hz Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a center punch-hole of about 2.8mm for the Redmi K40 Pro. The phone will come with a bigger battery than 4000mAh expecting at least a 5000mAh battery. Redmi K40 Pro model is expected to come with 108MP quad rear cameras and up to 12GB of RAM.

    Recently, Redmi smartphone models M2012K11AC and M2012K11C are certified by the 3C that confirmed 33W fast charging support for the phones. According to the rumors, the Redmi K40 will be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC that the pricing will start at 1999 yuan (US$ 309 / Rs. 22,590 approx.). We should know more details and the full specifications of the phones in the coming days before the launch.
