REDMI A7 Pro 5G launched in India starting at Rs. 11,499 with 6.9-inch 120Hz display, 6300mAh battery, Android 16
Xiaomi has launched its first “Pro” variant of its entry-level REDMI A Series, the REDMI A7 Pro 5G in India, as previously announced. The device brings several hardware upgrades, including a larger battery, a high-refresh-rate display, and Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.
Display and Design -
The REDMI A7 Pro features a 6.9-inch display with support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits.
Key highlights include:
- Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for improved touch response even with wet or oily fingers
- Eye comfort features such as DC dimming and triple TÜV Rheinland certifications
- Slim profile with an 8.15mm thickness
Software and AI Integration -
The REDMI A7 Pro 5G is the first in the A Series to run on HyperOS 3. It is promised to receive four years of Android updates and six years of security updates.

- Integration with Google Gemini and Circle to Search
- Xiaomi HyperIsland for enhanced multitasking
- Xiaomi Interconnectivity for seamless ecosystem integration
Camera Specifications -
The device sports a dual rear camera setup and a single front camera.
- Rear: 32MP primary sensor with HDR+ and Night Mode
- Front: 8MP camera with built-in beauty filters and Night Mode
Additional camera features include “AI Sky” for automatic sky replacement and “Document Mode” for scanning and digitizing documents and receipts.
Battery and Performance -
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor (unspecified) and comes with UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM expansion.
It packs a 6,300mAh battery with 15W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Xiaomi claims the battery is rated for 1,000 charge cycles (around four years), retaining over 80% of its original capacity.
