Redmi 13 5G launching in India on July 9 with 108MP camera, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Accelerated edition SoC
Xiaomi confirmed the launch of its next budget 5G smartphone, the Redmi 13 5G, and the successor to last year’s Redmi 12 5G, in India on July 9th. The launch event features Nora Fatehi showcasing the device. The company highlights that the phone combines stunning aesthetics with lightning-fast 5G performance, promising to redefine elegance and speed.
The Redmi 13 5G will feature a crystal glass design, making it the first phone in its segment to have dual-sided glass. It also includes Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front. The device will be equipped with a 108MP rear camera and powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Accelerated edition.
Other features include a 5030mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Xiaomi claims the phone will have the largest display in its segment for a 5G smartphone, with images showing a punch-hole screen and a small chin.
The design appears similar to the Redmi Note 13R, launched in China last month, except for the camera. Therefore, we can expect a 6.79-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen, an 8.32mm sleek design, and IP53 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
The Redmi 12 5G was launched in India starting at Rs. 11,999, so the Redmi 13 5G is likely to be priced similarly. Post-launch, the phone will be available on Amazon.in, mi.com, and through offline stores.
