Realme has unveiled a new concept smartphone featuring a massive 10,000mAh battery, aimed at addressing the widespread issue of battery anxiety among users. Despite its large battery, the device maintains a slim and lightweight profile, measuring under 8.5mm thick and weighing just over 200g. It is designed to deliver extended battery life without compromising on portability, especially for the Indian market.

At the core of this innovation is an ultra-high silicon-content anode battery with a 10% silicon ratio—the highest in the smartphone industry, according to Realme. This contributes to an impressive energy density of 887Wh/L, marking a significant leap in lithium-ion battery technology.

The phone’s internal design adopts what Realme calls a “Mini Diamond Architecture,” which optimizes internal space to accommodate the large battery. It also includes the world’s narrowest Android mainboard at just 23.4mm. This architecture has led to over 60 international patent filings.

Realme has a history of pushing boundaries in battery tech and fast charging, having introduced 150W fast charging with the GT Neo3, 240W on the GT3, and even showcased a 320W concept. The upcoming Realme GT 7 series is expected to build on these innovations.

The prototype features a semi-transparent back, offering a glimpse of the internal components, including the battery and compact mainboard. The company has signalled its intent to bring these conceptual breakthroughs into future consumer-ready devices.
