Ouya acquired by Gaming Hardware manufacturer, Razer
Ouya started out as a dream to bring high-end gaming to the masses through Android. The tiny Android powered console raised over US$ 8.6 million on Kickstarter but failed mainly due to poor software, lack-luster gaming and under-powered hardware. Now selling for about $100, it was all but dead. The folks over at Razer, are planning something else.
Mesa Global, M&A giant has just revealed that Razer has acquired Ouya but there are no details on the financial terms of the deal. Razer already has a great hardware unit, so its weird bringing the team from Ouya onboard. It would be interesting to see what Razer does with Ouya.
