Qualcomm Snapdragon X Platform for Copilot+ PCs; Revolutionizing PC Performance and AI Experiences
Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon X Platform, its fourth addition to its Snapdragon X Series compute portfolio. Following the launch of the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core last year, the new platform promises exceptional performance, multi-day battery life, and enhanced Copilot+ PC experiences for a broader global audience.
Powered by an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU, the Snapdragon X Platform delivers next-generation performance for PCs. Qualcomm claims it offers up to 163% faster performance at ISO-power compared to competitors, who require 168% more power at ISO-performance. With a 45 TOPS NPU, the platform efficiently powers Copilot+ PC experiences, balancing high performance with advanced intelligence.
The integrated, power-efficient GPU supports dynamic graphics, making it ideal for creating presentations, web browsing, and streaming. Snapdragon X is designed for students, freelancers, and budget-conscious users who need a reliable, high-performance laptop to match their active lifestyles.
Windows 11 on Snapdragon: Expanding AI-Driven Experiences -
The momentum for Windows 11 on Snapdragon continues to grow, now supporting over 50 AI-powered NPU experiences. These include native apps such as 20 of the most popular VPNs, 50 widely-used security and cloud storage apps, and new music-focused Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and Virtual Studio Technology (VST) instruments.
According to Qualcomm, native app development has tripled in the past year, with notable companies like Music AI releasing the Moises Live app exclusively for Snapdragon, leveraging the platform’s advanced NPU capabilities.
