POCO Pad 5G launching in India on August 23 with 12.1-inch 120Hz display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC
POCO has officially announced the launch of its first tablet in India, the POCO Pad 5G, set for August 23rd at 12 PM, after teaser. This announcement was made by Himanshu, the Country Head of POCO India, who described the tablet as the "ultimate companion."
Himanshu emphasized that the POCO Pad 5G is designed to be an ideal device for "binging, creating, and getting stuff done." The promotional image suggests that the tablet will support a stylus and a keyboard.
The POCO Pad was first introduced in global markets back in May. It features a 12.1-inch 2.5K 120Hz LCD screen, is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM, includes quad speakers, and is equipped with a 10,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
This tablet appears to be similar to the Redmi Pad Pro, which launched in India a few weeks ago. However, the POCO Pad is expected to be more affordable. It's still unclear whether POCO will launch both Wi-Fi and 5G versions, as the image only highlights the POCO Pad 5G.
