Panasonic Eluga Arc with fingerprint sensor launched in India for Rs. 12490
Panasonic is expanding its Eluga line-up rapidly and its newest entrant is the Eluga Arc which comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. On the specs front we are pretty much in the budget territory with the Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage and Android 5.1 Lollipop running the show.
The Eluga Arc has a hybrid dual-SIM slot, meaning you can either expand storage or use 2 SIM cards at the same time. It has an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and an infrared blaster to control home appliances. It packs a 1800 mAh battery which does seem a bit less on paper, but considering the specs and the smaller 4.7-inch HD display it has to power, there are chances it will last a work day without needing to hit the socket again.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE support (although its yet to rollout in India), then there's WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio onboard as well.
The build on the device seems solid and the 2.5D curved glass does make it look more premium. Priced at Rs. 12,490 the Eluga Arc, which comes only in gold color, faces stiff competition from the segment leader, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. But one thing going for the Eluga Arc is its availability through both online and offline channels.
