OPPO Reno14 Series Teased with Nature-Inspired Design, Velvet Glass, and IP69 Durability Ahead of India Launch
OPPO India has unveiled the first teaser for the upcoming Reno14 Series, showcasing its sleek, nature-inspired aesthetics paired with robust durability. The lineup features ultra-slim bezels, a unibody glass back, and an aerospace-grade aluminum frame.
One of the standout design elements is the iridescent glow finish, achieved through a 12-layer micro-pattern coating—twice as intricate as previous Reno models—creating a dynamic color-shifting effect in shades of red, blue, gold, silver, and more.
- The Pearl White edition introduces OPPO’s first Velvet Glass, developed through a meticulous 65-step cold-sculpting process that doubles the usual engraving and polishing time to deliver a seamless, smudge-resistant finish.
- Titanium Grey presents a matte texture with reflective detailing, while Forest Green adds a glowing camera ring crafted with offset printing and layered light-tuned finishes.
Engineered for Resilience -
Taking cues from the structure of sea sponges, OPPO’s new Sponge Armor Body design protects internal components by absorbing and dispersing impact from accidental drops. The series is reinforced with aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, maintaining a slim profile—7.42mm on Pearl White and Forest Green models, and 7.58mm on the Pro variant—without compromising thermal efficiency during heavy usage.
The Reno14 Series also boasts top-tier durability certifications:
- IP66 – Resistant to splashes
- IP68 – Waterproof up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes (tested up to 2 meters)
- IP69 – Protected against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets
Additional rugged features include a corrosion-resistant platinum-coated USB port and support for 4K video capture underwater—ideal for monsoon adventures and poolside content.

The Reno14 Pro is equipped with a 6.83-inch OLED display featuring 1.5K resolution and an impressive 93.6% screen-to-body ratio. The standard Reno14 sports a 6.59-inch display with a 93.4% ratio. Both models offer a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, glove touch support, and ultra-thin bezels.
Designed for immersive and prolonged viewing, the screens include 3840Hz PWM dimming, HDR10+ certification, and native HD support for streaming on platforms like Netflix and Prime Video.
Expected Launch Timeline -
While OPPO has already activated a “notify me” page on its official store, the exact launch date remains under wraps. However, the Reno14 Series is anticipated to make its official debut sometime next month.
