OPPO Reno7 5G and Reno7 Pro 5G launched in India starting from Rs.28,999 with FHD+ 90Hz OLED display, Dimensity 900/1200-Max SoC
OPPO has launched its latest 5G smartphones the OPPO Reno7 and Reno7 Pro 5G in the Reno7 series in India, as they promised. The Reno7 has a 6.43-inch screen and the 7 Pro has a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Reno7 runs on Dimensity 900 processor and the Reno7 Pro run on a Dimensity 1200-Max processor that provides enhanced display, better imaging, and video clarity. These come with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and based on Android 11 with ColorOS 12 that will be upgraded to Android 12 expected to roll out in Q1 to Q2 2022, as per the company.
These all have a triple rear camera setup whereas Reno7 has a 64MP primary camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2MP macro camera. While the Reno7 Pro has a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP macro camera.
The Reno7 Pro has a 32MP punch-hole front-facing camera with a new IMX709 sensor which is developed by Oppo and Sony that uses an RGBW arrangement. According to the company, the light sensitivity has increased by 60%, and it can reduce noise by 35%. It also has hardware-level DOL-HDR, which is used to bring better backlight shooting performance.
The Reno7 series front camera can automatically switch from 85° to a 90° angle when it detects more than two people in the viewfinder to capture multi-person snapshots. It also features portrait photos, camera algorithms separate the subject in the foreground, detect light sources in the background to produce a soft lens flare and finally, blur the background for a more natural-looking Bokeh flare effect.
The Reno7 Pro 5G has a 50MP IMX766 large rear sensor that captures more light when shooting photos and videos. It also supports 26 adjustable bokeh levels, as per OPPO. It also has a Bokeh Flare Portrait video that accurately identifies the human subject in any complex background that we had already seen in the Reno 6 series. It also supports DOL-HDR technology which increases the dynamic range to shoot well-exposed images and detailed low-light videos.
The Reno7 Pro also has first-of-its-kind 3D “breathing” lights around the camera module. Where a 1mm diameter fiber is bent to frame the camera area and emit soft, pulsating lights whenever the phone receives a call, message, or during charging.
