OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G launching in India on June 13 with Military Grade Durability, IP69, IP68 and IP66 ratings
OPPO has confirmed the launch of its latest smartphone in the F series, the OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G in India on June 13th. This device marks a significant milestone as it will be the first smartphone in the country to boast IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for water and dust resistance, as well as Military Grade Durability with MIL-STD-810H certification and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for its display.
Additionally, the F27 Pro+ 5G boasts Swiss SGS Premium Performance 5 Stars Drop Resistance. According to OPPO India, a recent survey conducted on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X in May revealed that 42% of over 6000 respondents expressed a need for a water-resistant smartphone during monsoon seasons, while 30% sought a waterproof device for beach or poolside use. Furthermore, 19% prioritized drop-proof protection for clumsy moments, and 9% emphasized the importance of scratch-proof toughened glass to withstand everyday items like coins and keys in their pockets and purses.
The phone's ratings include -
- IP66: Maximum protection against dust and regular water jets.
- IP68: Maximum protection against dust and water immersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
- IP69: Maximum protection against dust and high-pressure water jets at temperatures up to 80°C.
The device will be available in Midnight Navy and Dusk Pink color options, featuring a leather back adorned with a Cosmos Ring design and a 3D Curved AMOLED display. OPPO has applied a siloxane coating to the leather back to enhance stain resistance, allowing users to confidently use the phone without a case.
The smartphone's circular camera module adopts a centrally symmetrical layout, highlighting the allure of the central axis. With a slim profile of 7.89mm and weighing 177g, the device promises a comfortable in-hand feel.
In terms of specifications, the F27 Pro+ 5G closely resembles the OPPO A3 Pro launched in China in April. Expect a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved OLED screen, Dimensity 7050 SoC, a 64MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor, and a substantial 5000mAh battery supported by 67W fast charging technology.
