OnePlus has now confirmed that its upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 6T, will launch in China later this November, following last month’s Ace 6 launch. The device is set to become the first smartphone powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, and the teaser highlights its metal frame design.

According to OnePlus China President Louis Jie, the Ace 6T will serve as a new performance-focused flagship, delivering powerful overall performance and an exceptional gaming experience. It will feature a 165Hz display capable of 165fps gameplay and offer extremely long battery life. He also hinted that the battery capacity could exceed 8,000mAh.

Leaker Digital Chat Station added that OnePlus has been heavily involved in developing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform. The phone will come preloaded with the latest Wind Chaser gaming kernel, support 165Hz ultra-high frame rates, and be the first to adapt a popular national-level mobile game to 165Hz.

At the global launch of the OnePlus 15, the company confirmed that the OnePlus 15R will be released later this year. Whether the Ace 6T will debut globally as the OnePlus 15R—or if the Ace 6 will take that spot—remains to be seen.

Regarding the phone and its naming, OnePlus China head Louis Jie said:

“What is this new choice? It’s not just another option. It represents youthful confidence that refuses to conform; the strength and conviction to challenge industry norms; and a declaration to pave the way for a new era through action.
Finally, I know you’re all curious about what the “T” in Ace 6T represents. Simply put, the T designation is OnePlus’s core performance DNA, unchanged from every previous T generation.”
